The Z 500-1 is a budget priced version of our Z 500-01 gauge. It is well suited for non - contact laboratory and slower speed process applications. This gauge offers high resolution, unmatched stability, accuracy, repeatability, and an ultra wide measurement range for a budget price.
Completely redesigned with more flexibility. We now offer an optional Data I/O feature that virtually Eliminates errors with easy automatic transfer of data to any computer program (Windows® based). You can display thickness values on screen. Import data live into Excel®, Access®, or any other Windows® program. And, send data to your computer via a single key stroke, a detached button, a foot pedal, a timed reading, or continuous output. Our software also Logs your data to a CSV file automatically so you never lose your valuable information.
The Z500 series of gauges calculate thickness based on the mass of the material under the sensor. Calibrating the gauge is done by putting a known thickness of material under the sensor and entering the thickness of the standard into the gauge. This process takes less than one minute. From that point on, any identical material placed under the gauge will be measured based upon the standard. The gauge will work for any non conductive material.
